Hmmmmm... I'm trying to decide between is this a flower with ants on it? Or a piece of pasta with spice on it? Or... a cupcake gone bad? LOL! No idea really!

It looks like a hybrid of fungus, flower or cabbage in the structure. Very interesting and cool!

The enlarged pic didn't help me to figure out what it is, but it is a very pretty pic whatever that is (orange cabbage? plant from a coral reef??

Ok I will tell since enough have questioned. Or should I? :) It is indeed a bit of fungus. I captured the shot over the weekend. It was just this vibrant, and stood out against the dark ground. Unfortunatly my far off shot did not come out! But this closer one did. And I like it this was. Oh and the cluster of fungui would have fit into the palm of my hand! Very tiny stuff!
